As well as detailed analysis of what is and isn’t working for you currently, I’ll share plenty of ideas and inspiration for your content moving forward. You’ll also receive a creative pep talk with you via voice note that will aim to encourage and uplift you to take the next steps.

What’s not included?

My audit of your channel and creative pep talk can provide valuable insights and recommendations for improving your Instagram presence, however there are several aspects of Instagram strategy and management that I typically won’t cover in an audit but would be happy to dig into in a full 1-1 mentoring session.

Here are some of the elements that are likely to not be included in an Instagram audit and creative pep talk:

  • Paid Ads and Promotion: Instagram audits will focus on organic content and engagement.
  • Comprehensive Strategy Creation: While an Instagram audit will provide recommendations, it will not include creating a comprehensive strategy from scratch.
  • Direct Messaging: An audit will concentrate on public-facing aspects of your Instagram account.
  • Past Stories Analysis: Whilst recommendations for using Stories will likely be included in an audit, due to the temporary nature of Stories, I will not be able to provide detailed analysis of your current Story strategy.
  • Competitor Research: While audits may reference your competitors, I will not be carrying out in-depth competitor analysis.
  • Algorithmic Changes and Trends: An audit will share my recommendations according to my experience and knowledge of the current version of Instagram. Features and algorithms are subject to change. Some users may not have access to all current features.

My Insta History.

I’ve been an Instagram user for nearly 12 years. Like many, I began using it for posting badly lit and overly filtered snippets of my life, but within a couple of years, it had become a creative outlet for me; somewhere to share my photography and writing as I honed these skills and a place to connect with fellow bloggers in Bristol, and the wider creative community online.

I’ve been working to support businesses with their social media and Instagram content for over a decade; firstly at marketing agencies, then as a freelance social media manager, and more recently through my work as a creative business mentor. In that time, I’ve managed multiple accounts for small business owners, written strategy plans, created content and scheduled posts. I’ve worked with clients on cultivating a more positive mindset around Instagram and helped them move through overwhelm to a place where they feel excited and confident to show up.

This year, I’ve had a brush with going viral. Two Reels I’ve shared, have between them had over 3 million views, thousands of likes and shares, and hundreds of comments. This traction has had a marked increase in my overall follower count and has taught me some interesting lessons in what it takes to find success on the platform these days and the impact it can have.

Algorithms, strategies, and trends have certainly changed over the years I’ve been sharing on Instagram and supporting business owners with theirs. But what remains unchanged is my belief that we can all use the platform to market our businesses in a way that aligns with our values with a focus on creativity and connection.
