I know I post a lot of the magical moments of childhood and little adventures that can all look quite dreamy and they are, however I am also finding this season of parenting incredibly tough. Navigating the days with a strong willed toddler, constantly feeling on high alert, trying to stay calm whilst emotions are high, feelings are big and things are getting trashed and broken (RIP our 📺!) it’s all completely draining. And then there’s the guilt that whatever you do you’re not getting this parenting thing right.

Sending solidarity to anyone else who has felt personally victimised by their toddler recently 🙋🏻‍♀️😅 (iykyk)

I keep reminding myself that it’s hard to be 2.5 years old and it’s hard to be a mama to a 2.5 year old and that amidst the chaos we’re both just trying our best.

We spent a lovely family day with @thenewtinsomerset with my auntie and grandma this week. Sunshine, picnic, splashing, gorgeous gardens, glasshouse, ice cream and golf buggy rides. Such a treat.🍦

Mostly we’re down to just the one feed a day. We

Mostly we’re down to just the one feed a day. We wake up together (usually a bit earlier that I’d like) and the first thing I hear is his little voice asking for ‘Mummy Milk’. We lie sleepily together and wake up slowly as the sun rays begin to shine through the blinds.

For the rest of the day he’s usually to busy playing and snacking and making mischief to stop and feed. But we’ll keep starting our day how we have for two and a half years for now, just us and these slow milky mornings✨

Hunting for grasshoppers 🦗 Little moments of 1-1 time with my big kid are actually quite rare and feel so precious, walking together to his swimming lessons and back chatting about mini beasts and why some trees leaves are turning brown already, finding the loud grasshoppers hiding in the long grass 🌾

Anyone else not okay with the fact their baby starts school next month?! 😭
